A westbound coal load stalled out on the main at Winter Park and this light power was sent through the tunnel to rescue it! Yep, it happened for a very short time between the fall of 1997 and the deactivation of most of the C30-7's in 1998 and 1999. This was also before BNSF started using DPU on its westbound manifests on the Moffat. Manned helpers would push the train up the hill to East Portal where they would cut off and return to Denver.
