A pair of ES44ACs lead a westbound Z-train just west of Keensburg. This Z-train, which originated in Chicago and is headed for Denver, is the hottest train that runs in to Denver on either UP or BNSF. Amtrak actually ran through the siding at Keensburg so the Z-train could get back up to track speed more quickly once the Zephyr cleared. Email Questions or Comments to the Webmaster.
