Now that is a dump truck! Imagine what it must be liek to sit behind the wheel of a vehicle that is roughly the size of most houses! This is how the coal reaches the tipple to be loaded onto trains. These dump trucks came by every minute or so, just hauling back and forth.

At at least one very large iron ore mine in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, the mining company (BHP Billiton, I believe) are trialling driverless trucks that size! The trucks are computer/radio controlled - now that would be a great Tonka Toy!!
