This Tunnel Motor is one of a very few that still hasn't "officially" been retired by Union Pacific as of this picture. The unit started life as SP 8259 and was delivered 29 years earlier in May 1980.

That engine used to run on the Local between Salina, KS and Hays, KS now all we got is two SD60M's I always enjoyed seeing a SD40T-2 and a SD40-2 split by a GP38-2.
