This southbound coal load is slowing to a stop along the I-25 frontage road south of Castle Rock. A train ahead had a near miss with a car at a grade crossing had to put the train in emergency. As a result, this train will be sitting for awhile!

Nice shot Kevin. I was actually stuck on SB I-25 at the location of the grade crossing where the train ahead went in to emergency. From where I was sitting I could not tell if they had hit something but the state trooper on the overpass did not head in that direction so I figured they had a problem.
I do agree that traffic was infact fairly horrible.
